Jameson Executive Director Date: AUG 2 5 1986 SUBJECT: Briefing Paper for the '86 Big Show Expo The Mul ti -Texture Hair Expo is a showcase for manufacturers , local salons and other businesses in the beauty industry. The event will attract approximately 22,000 men and women in the beauty field, 40% of these individuals will be from the surrounding metropolitan area. The producers of the exposition is the "Big Show Expo" a New York minority-owned firm with a satellite office in Washington, D.C. The firm is headed by Bernice Calvin, John Carlton and Lila Robertson . The Expo is being held at the Washington Convention Center, Monday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 26th, 1986. You are to give greetings at 2:15 p.m., Monday, August 25, 1986 in Hall В of the Convention Center. Freddi Moody, Public Information Officer for the Minority Business Opportunity Commission will meet you at the 9th Street entrance and escort you to the designated holding room.
