FR0M:Cariyn carter, Special for International Affair Department, Agency, 0ffi<©f fice of the Secretary Date: December 11, 1986 SUBJECT: breath of Hope Ceremony Once again the Mayor's International Advisory Council is sponsoring the annual "Wreath of Hope" ceremony on Thursday, December 18, 1986 at eleven in the morning. It will take place in the City Council Chambers of the District Building. The wreath, representing an international circle of friendship, will be decorated by bows in the colors of the flags of the nations with which the U.S. has diplomatic ties. Embassies and schools in the District of Columbia have been invited to place bows on the wreath. Ambassador Charles Nelson, chairman, the Mayor's International Advisory Council, will place the first bow. Participants this year will include the Wilson Senior High School String Ensemble, the Woodson Junior High School Choral Group and students from Langdon Elementary School.
