We are truly a WINNING CITY WITH A WINNING TEAM. MORE THAN THAT. WE ARE A WINNING REGION WITH A WINNING TEAM. Let me officially join you in welcoming home the Super Bowl Champion Washington Redskins. The Redskins have demonstrated TO THE WORLD THAT THEY ARE THE BEST AND THROUGH OUR SUPPORT., WE HAVE DEMONSTRATED TO THE WORLD THAT WE HAVE THE WINNING SPIRIT., ALL OF us, in the District., Maryland., and Virginia. Look around and you WILL SEE REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE ENTIRE METROPOLITAN REGION. Redskin fans, all of us. The winning spirit of this region has BEEN DEMONSTRATED BY THE WINNING WAYS OF OUR TEAM AND FANS. It DEMONSTRATES TO THE WHOLE COUNTRY THAT BLACK AND WHITE, CITY AND SUBURBAN, WE CAN WORK TOGETHER, LIVE TOGETHER, AND PLAY TOGETHER AS ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY. Sunday's Redskin victory in Super Bowl 22 was a victory FOR ALL OF WASHINGTON, Jack Kent Cooke may have a proprietary interest in the success of the Redskins, but we want him to know that the Redskins BELONG TO ALL OF -US.
